Okay, I hope everyone had a good laugh over yesterday's little prank. For those of you uninitiated, I had swapped all of the Desolate Sky graphics on the website with that of Limozeen, the mock 80s metal band that originates from HomestarRunner.com. Hats off to the Chapman Brothers for being the masters of viral internet memes.

Just for laughs, here's that phony banner again...

Ah...Comedy gold! If you didn't see the site transformation in its entirety, all I can say to you is that it wasn't for the faint-of-heart. ...or the faint-of-butt.

I pretty much had to use every Homestar Runner DVD to pull off the site transformation, because, believe it or not, there really aren't that many usable pictures of Limozeen. The hardest picture to get was the Limozeen laser image, which I had to very carefully extract from one of the "Summer Shorts" cartoons and animate myself as a GIF file. The only thing I didn't use was the Limozeen Saturday morning cartoon show, but that's only because I completely forgot about it.

Anyhoo, before restoring the site to its former glory, I had to make a few alterations. One, for those of you hot linking images, you may notice that you still have Limozeen images. I put all the Desolate Sky images in a folder that, while not blocked (yet), should serve as a subtle reminder that hot-linking isn't very nice. I'm sure it's not much, but it's kinda my job to make sure that the band isn't paying for bandwidth theft. Sooo... naughty naughty!

Aside from that, there really are "sweet new pixx" in the gallery section. Go check them out!

If you're looking for show info, there's a show coming up in July. It's posted on the MySpace page. If any more shows are announced, I'll be posting them here on the site.
